Studying so hard was draining for Sophie. Even her social life was affected as invitation after invitation was submitted ... and politely refused/ignored. Tired of this, she desperately wanted to host a kegger party of her own. So she bought the dorm a juice kegger and immediately went to work adjusting/improving it.
Everything was all ready. Now all she needed ... was a perfect time slot where everyone wasn't busy with lectures/classes/studying ... or even partying themselves! She needed to check it to make sure it was working properly, so she enrolled the help of one of her friends.
He scooped her up as if she was a feather as she tested the juice keg. It was working perfectly!
Alas, as you can see, it was a full moon and the zombies were on the prowl. Not only that, a couple of ghosts made an appearance ....
... not a good idea for a party. Not especially if there were a few skittish students there. So Sophie went to bed, leaving the dorm in the not so capable hands of the ghosts and her fellow dormies.
That was soo not a good idea. To begin with, the living students left the kitchen in a terrible mess. Surfaces were caked in grease and sticky jam, the cooker top was coated in burned on food.
But that wasn't the worst thing to happen.
One of the ghosts abandoned his meal to play around with the juice keg. So no guesses what happened next?
Yep. A fire.
Which attracted a pyromaniac at the same time. Whilst everyone else was hopping around screaming and yelling, this one Sim just stood there, transfixed by the flames.
Sophie was awakened by the din, as well as the fire alarm going off. There was no way she was going to be stuck in and amongst that panicking crowd downstairs, so, bleary eyed, she dialled the fire service. She was told to hang on, they were on their way.
By now, the flames had gotten a hold and were spreading all over the place, despite the valiant efforts of some of her dormies. So she had no other choice but to lend a helping hand. At least one of the ghosts took full responsibility.
The fire brigade were useless, because by the time they arrived, the flames had almost been put out. Naturally, the rest of the students - along with Sophie - were traumatized by this event and were still in full panic mode.
Although, at least one bright spark complained that he was starving.
Well, he'll just have to wait until after the clean up operation. Despite the insurance handing Sophie a decent sized cheque to replace the fire damaged items, it took a hefty chunk out of her bank balance.
I just hope this doesn't happen again ... any time soon.
