Chapter Fifty Seven - Up Against a Pro Here

First off, they were already in build/buy, so I decided to put them to good use.
What am I talking about? The baby walker and the activity crib thingy - although the crib has its uses a little further along in this tale.

Vanessa was put into the walker, which pleased her no end and stopped her consistent squalling.

Hannah, however, it was an entirely different story. For today, it was her birthday!!

She grew up into the cutest little kid I've seen in a while. There was one thing, however, that bothered me.
She transitioned with a rather bizarre chin feature. I hope she grows out of it pretty soon.

I gave her a quick makeover, since the pigtails simply weren't rocking, ya know?
She has the following traits now ...

Brave
Good
Genius (since that was her parents' fervent wish from the moment she was born)

She put her Brave trait to the test by checking for monsters under her parents' bed of all things!! I guess they were far too big to fit under the bunk beds!

She is also a little mischievous too. And a tattle tale. Blaine, forgetting about his 'bladder' need, leaked oil on the bathroom floor.

Right in front of Hannah.

I'm telling.

She wouldn't.... would she?
I wouldn't put it past her actually.

It's bedtime and Vanessa is throwing a strop, because daddy wouldn't let her stay in the walker.

Which annoyed both William and Hannah, who trooped down the stairs in force to complain.

Dad, stop her crying. We can't sleep.
I'm just putting her to bed right now. I seriously don't know what's wrong with her lately. She's had plenty of attention, she's been fed, her diaper changed. I really don't know what to do with her kids. Sorry.

Austin managed to placate them, which led to this little scene that I thought was hilarious.
Let me put you into the shoes of William and Hannah here shall I?

So, you are doing magic huh?
Just playing with my fairy dust.

Ohhh, I've got a trick to show you. I learned this all by myself! Wanna see?
I guess so, since we are both awake now. Thanks to Nessa.

 Look, I can hover.
Yeah, so can I. Big deal.
No, wait. This is a good one. Really. It's a little tricky. Um, hang on, I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.
Hey, I'll tell you if you are doing just fine, you are up against the Pros here kiddo.

Just a little twist of the hands, and .... POW!!! There! How do you feel?
Poor William got the Hot Headed trick his kid sister played on him.

MY EARS! MY EARS!!! My head feels as though it's about to explode!!!

Hannah, that was very naughty, just wait till I tell dad!
And risk me telling him what you did to that poor woman a couple of days ago? I think not.

You are not nice.
HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.....

Now, I've got to go get a shower. And there'd better not be anything in there, like hair dyes etc. Or I WILL tell dad.

Hannah ponders over this one very carefully.

Chapter Fifty Five - Birthdays and Tantrums

William kept forgetting about his beloved Peanut. Which makes me think that he is growing up fast. Too fast actually. So much so that he has already chosen his Lifetime Wish.

World Reknowned Surgeon. WOW.

Later on he rolled another one,  I think it was Pop Legend but this one had already been locked and loaded. So there is no going back. He loves looking after his little sister Hannah though, making sure that she gets a bottle at least before he heads off to school

It was around this time that both the twins' birthdays arrived. And what do you know, everyone heads off to work/school etc. leaving Shannon alone to deal with this double celebration. All alone.

Firstly, Sophie.

Although she was hungry and stinky from pooping herself, she and Hannah enjoyed each other's company at the doll house.

Me poky in eye!

Austin arrived home, just in time to witness Vanessa's birthday transition. Sophie's grumblings and whatnot not even making a dint in the celebrations.

Oh my! Time for a makeover I think. We can't have a balding toddler wandering around!!!

Sadly, because all three toddlers' needs were verging on critical - or fairly close, they all started yelling and screaming.

That's when Shannon snapped, and she started yelling and screaming.

I can't stand all this. That's why I went away, just to get away from all this!!
They're only toddlers sweetie, they're only wanting attention.
Yeah well, you push something like that from your body and try to look after it 24/7 with very little sleep.
Um, dearie, I have ..... sorta. Just omit the giving birth part, I'm doing my fair share of the work you know.

Shannon then stomps off to cool down and get some well earned rest in the fairy house.
Which meant that none of the toddlers were allowed anywhere near her until she cooled down.

Blaine was smart. He spent all day and night at the fire station, where the fire alarms were giving out false emergencies (seriously, the alarm would go off, then cancel itself out)

William, however, wisely stayed away, doing his homework outside in the rain, before heading indoors and straight to bed.

Speaking of. Poor Vanessa, desperate to get  any attention, and not succeeding, she finally passed out cold on the floor. Completely and utterly exhausted. Poor kid.

Hopefully things will get better for all of them pretty soon.

Chapter Fifty One - I've Broken The Servo

It's William's birthday. I'd have picked out a cake and thrown a party, but it is too late. So there he is, bless him, transitioning into a child.

Wow, he looks like his mum Shannon. Handsome laddie! Got his dad's dark eyes though.

Because I apparently 'did so well' in bringing him up, I got to choose a trait. So I opted for the Neat trait, in the hopes that he'll do something about the dirty plates and laundry that are scattered around the place. Something that Bonehilda totally fails to notice as she hovers over cribs and reads books.

Um, lederhosen? I don't think so. It's off to CAS I go to put him into something a little more .... stylish.

In the meantime, I redecorated his old nursery upstairs into something a little more of his taste. Since his favourite colour is Seafoam, it's only fair that I give his room a more watery theme.

Whilst I was occupied elsewhere, he whipped out Peanut, his IF toy and started to play with him. Funny really, Hannah didn't get one, I checked the mail, just to see!

Hello Peanut, my bestest friend in the whole wide world.

Aww so sweet.

Anyways, whilst I was distracted, Shannon, exhausted to the point of collapse, suddenly stops what she is doing - getting into bed to sleep - to stand there for a good 2.5 hours (I know I counted).

Something on your mind Shannon?
Can't sleep .... must do something....
Do what?
Don't know. Got a funny feeling, that's all.
Ah right.

And then POP! She suddenly spins into her maternity wear.

THAT'S what I was supposed to do!

I swear, I never heard the baby chimes from the last woohoo! So this comes as a great surprise.

Downstairs, deep downstairs, because there was a load of cash in the coffers, I decided to build a dungeon ... whoops, a basement. There I managed to fit in a few items that couldn't fit into any of the other rooms, giving me the chance to rearrange some items, and keep these ones protected from the elements.

This will be the last time you see Boney. I believe, if memory serves me well, I deactivated her in the hopes that William takes over the chores. I put the bar into the family inventory for safe keeping, then decided it would be better in the basement. Sadly Boney has discovered it once more.

And this is where things went a little ....
.... um ....
.... badly wrong.

I installed the all in one shower/toilet facility in the basement and sent Blaine in there to 'void his oily circuitry'. I forgot that not only does it act as a toilet, he gets a shower too!

He staggers out of the unit, sparks flying everywhere.

And promptly shuts down.

Oops. I guess I've broken the servo!

My bad.

Chapter Forty Eight - Hannah Grows Up

Back home, to the busy suburban family life. Better than Al Sim Hara Austin?
Meh.
Interesting. For a man of many words, he has very few to offer us today.
Change of topic.
Nice suit Austin. (I'm guessing this is is outfit of choice now that he's an International Super Spy), off to work?
Meh

Sorry I didn't lock your wish to retire, but all your wishes were full up and you weren't progressing any further with any of them until you wished to travel.

It was Blaine's first day at work too. The fire station was noticeably empty of staff, so he  was just about to upgrade the fire alarm when it went off.

It is making a funny noise.

That's signalling an emergency.

What do I do there is nobody else around.

Hop into the fire engine, drive to the source of the emergency and put out the fire.

Am I allowed to drive the engine?

Sheesh, I don't know, I've never dealt with a Simbot that wanted to be a Fire Fighter before. Just try it.

And so he rushed off, sirens wailing, to deal with his first emergency. A small house fire.
It should have been a piece of cake. However, it seems that one of his supposed work colleagues, decided to get in his way, stomping and yelling, so Blaine was stuck, whilst this small fire went from a Category A - within an hour or two, to a Category B emergency .... 3 hours maybe 4. I had to reset him and send him back there, where it was almost a repeat of the same situation. I had to reroute him to a spot on the lawn then onto putting out the flames.

Even so, he still got a boost up his career for what they call his 'quick thinking in an emergency'. Yeah, riiiight.
He went back to the station, to park his iron butt at the desk and sit chatting to someone - not a clue who though, until his shift ended.

Meanwhile, back home, here's a great glitch for you. William caught in mid transition, just before he turned into a micro fairy and headed off to the fairy castle outside.

Hannah was getting a lot of attention. Austin thought the world of her - and William too.

Even though she was a squally little kid, causing no end of frustration for both Austin and Shannon. So it was no surprise that Shannon felt a wash of relief when it came up to Hannah's birthday. I could have naturally let her transition without the cake, but I thought it would be interesting to see what happens.

Austin's Inappropriate trait kicked in as he mocked Hannah's birthday celebrations.
That's your daughter Austin.
She can't blow out the candles!!
Nevertheless ....
Nah boo!!

They ignored him. As did I.

And so she grew up into a sad faced little toddler. Cute, but just look at that face on her.... bless. She looks a lot like Austin there.

I just love her cute little butterfly wings!!!
