Chapter Fifty Five - Birthdays and Tantrums

William kept forgetting about his beloved Peanut. Which makes me think that he is growing up fast. Too fast actually. So much so that he has already chosen his Lifetime Wish.

World Reknowned Surgeon. WOW.

Later on he rolled another one,  I think it was Pop Legend but this one had already been locked and loaded. So there is no going back. He loves looking after his little sister Hannah though, making sure that she gets a bottle at least before he heads off to school

It was around this time that both the twins' birthdays arrived. And what do you know, everyone heads off to work/school etc. leaving Shannon alone to deal with this double celebration. All alone.

Firstly, Sophie.

Although she was hungry and stinky from pooping herself, she and Hannah enjoyed each other's company at the doll house.

Me poky in eye!

Austin arrived home, just in time to witness Vanessa's birthday transition. Sophie's grumblings and whatnot not even making a dint in the celebrations.

Oh my! Time for a makeover I think. We can't have a balding toddler wandering around!!!

Sadly, because all three toddlers' needs were verging on critical - or fairly close, they all started yelling and screaming.

That's when Shannon snapped, and she started yelling and screaming.

I can't stand all this. That's why I went away, just to get away from all this!!
They're only toddlers sweetie, they're only wanting attention.
Yeah well, you push something like that from your body and try to look after it 24/7 with very little sleep.
Um, dearie, I have ..... sorta. Just omit the giving birth part, I'm doing my fair share of the work you know.

Shannon then stomps off to cool down and get some well earned rest in the fairy house.
Which meant that none of the toddlers were allowed anywhere near her until she cooled down.

Blaine was smart. He spent all day and night at the fire station, where the fire alarms were giving out false emergencies (seriously, the alarm would go off, then cancel itself out)

William, however, wisely stayed away, doing his homework outside in the rain, before heading indoors and straight to bed.

Speaking of. Poor Vanessa, desperate to get  any attention, and not succeeding, she finally passed out cold on the floor. Completely and utterly exhausted. Poor kid.

Hopefully things will get better for all of them pretty soon.

Chapter Fifty Four - Peace and Tranquility In Al Simhara

I hate this place, I need a bit of rest and relaxation.
Try a spa?
No, I want to go to Al Simhara.
On your own?
Yes. If Austin can do it, I can't see why I can't.
Um, o-kay, but what about the kids and Austin?
Stuff them, I want a vacation. NOW.

Yep, she rolled a wish to travel to Al Simhara and I locked it many moons ago but never had the opportunity to send her there. She was either pregnant, money was tight (not any more) or I'd sent her away to Shang SimLa by sheer accident (I didn't take pics, she didn't do anything, case closed it didn't happen.. right?)

And after packing her suitcase, calling the travel agents, she was there. In the very same Base Camp that her hubby went to, how long ago?

Wow, it's hot.
Yup.
And dusty. Wonder which tent Austin slept in?
Anything you want to do whilst you are here?
Can't think of any. Oh look, there's great reception here for my internet!

*sigh*, seriously, that's the first thing she did. Whip out her phone and start browsing the internet!

Are you serious? No wishes? At.All?
Nope. Oh wait, I do have one. I want to go visit the market.
Anything else?
I'll let you know when I get there, don't be so impatient. I've got 3 days here.

And so she arrived at the market. And headed straight for the chess board.

O-kay.

Ohh, this is nice. So quiet here. Peaceful and tranquil, no screaming kids, no crappy weather, no zombies. It is great. See? People don't bug you here.

I have to admit, it was fairly quiet.

Any wishes?
Ohhh, I want an incense burner!
Um, you've already got 3 back home.
Don't care. My money, my wish. Get me one and fulfil my wish.

O-kay. But you have to go to the cashier and buy it yourself. I'm not your personal shopper here.

Soo, whilst she was purchasing yet another incense burner, I decided that she should fill her basket with a lot more items and purchased a few things. A tent and supplies - just in case she wished to go on some adventures (what a waste THAT was). A snake charmer basket and a couple of other items - forget what those were.

Sadly, because she doesn't have the celebrity status that Austin has, she was forced to buy these items at full price. And they were VERY strict over haggling too.

Austin Powers? Yes? My husband? Big celebrity!
Is he here with you?
Well.... no, not really.
Sorry, no Austin no discount.

*grumble grumble, internet told me these people loved to haggle prices*

Sorry.

Whilst she was in the market, I got her to purchase two recipe books too - just in case.

She then proceeded to borrow a book from the cafe and sit reading it, whilst I am sitting drumming my fingers, waiting for wishes to pop up. Seriously, there is just one slot empty, just waiting. And she does .... nothing????? Not even a  wish to interact with anybody!!

So I send her back to Base Camp. Where she whips out the snake charmer basket, and starts playing on the flute thingy.

Eh, good luck getting a snake out of one of those LOL.

But she managed!! Good for her!!

Bored rigid, I sent her back home. Since I can't do anything unless she wishes it - and my 24 hours of control is up, it's best to send her back home. Back to the chaos, havoc and mayhem of family life!!!

Chapter Fifty Three - First Enemy

It was just a matter of time. The kids are seriously taking over this household.

It starts with Hannah. Somehow she senses that she's not the centre of the universe any more, so miraculously her needs drop dramatically so that she gets that little more attention than usual.
For crying out loud girl, it's been less than 24 hours since your sisters arrived! Nobody's even managed to make fusses of them, since they're all fainting from exhaustion and not able to function properly!!!

You hungry my sweet? Daddy's got to go to work ya know.
Uhhh, gimme.

Okay, but be quick, my car is waiting! Grumble grumble, wish I could retire.

Welllll, you DID wish for that, the minute you turned Elder, however, since all your wishes slots were locked, I had to sadly decline.
You should have unlocked one.
Um, no. I'd already done that, twice and the rules apply that I cannot do it again until one of your wishes was fulfilled. So nyah on you.

The twins might look sweet and innocent there, but nope. They are finely tuned sleep deprivation units, both playing tag team with one another.

Shannon was run ragged whilst on her maternity leave, her needs were that low that she peed herself whilst preparing dinner. She refused to eat until she'd showered - constantly picking up and putting down the plate of food - even though her hunger need was at critical red!!!

Thank goodness for William. Just the hero we need!! He managed to placate Hannah from a screaming fit, just by playing peekaboo with her.

Can you see me?
Boo!

No ... wait.
Boo!

... wait...
Boo!

There she is!!!!!

It's officially Shannon's 50,000 'free day' and what do I get her to do?
Empty the potty chair.

Ugh, what DO these kids eat? Seriously.
Um, Shannon, it's invisible.
Nevertheless, I can still smell it!
*sigh*

William's Neat trait kicks in as he helps around the house (this was supposed to be Shannon's duty, whilst I have control over her). But since he does this autonomously, I can't judge him. At least SOMEONE manages to clear up after themselves!!!

We have a routing issue with the kids toys.

Bwocks!!

Um, sweetie, they're behind you.

So much for the Genius trait here. Since the twins have arrived, Hannah has regressed. I blame the sleep deprivation that's going on. Plus, she's spending much more time in the fairy house, drinking fairy punch and sleeping. I hope that's not a forerunner of what's to come!

William had an outstanding wish that he needed to complete. Play a Fairy Trick on Someone.
Well, that someone just happened to be a nosey paparazzi who was hanging around the place continuously.
She made the mistake of laughing at William when he approached her.

Your son has funny pink wings.
Shannon dutifully ignores them, she's got other things on her mind

Yeah, like poopy potty chairs, a broken toilet and stinky laundry. I'm too exhausted, I'm going to bed (in all reality, her energy need was critical and deep red, so bang goes my 24 hours of controlling her)

Damn.

Oh and with that 50,000, I gave her an Honorary Degree in Science and Medicine (I think). Which meant that I could also choose an extra trait. That of Nurturing, in the hopes that she'll finally do some 'bonding' with her kids.

Yeah, we'll see about that one, shall we?

 Ohhh look up there!
Where?

Bazinga!

OMG. I'm so cold, my teeth are chattering.
Ha! Serves you right for poking fun at my pink wings. NOW who is the superior being here?

That was a very naughty thing you did there young man, I should report you to your mother

Fat chance of that missy

Hey, it was only a joke!
Nevertheless, it was a rather nasty one.

Yep, he made his first enemy today.

Meanwhile, inside, whilst the twins FINALLY got to sleep, Austin doted a little more on Hannah.
Whoops, she slipped!
Uh, riiiight. Thank goodness for those little wings of hers.

Before settling down to ...
.. what's that?

Green salad, gotta eat healthy to stay alive longer dontcha know?
Um, okay. But you are still young in my eyes.
Aww that's kind of you.

Chapter Fifty Two - Explosions, Invisible Jugglers And Two Surprises

Just to warn you, this is a long update with loads of pics. Simply because it wouldn't be feasible to break it up into several little ones at this point.

Hannah continued to make her presence felt as William, Austin and Blaine gather in the basement to fulfil their consecutive wishes. Blaine wanted to invent a toy, Austin just wanted to snooze in the rocking chair and William wished to discover a potion.

Whilst Blaine succeeded in his wish, and Austin, used to the screaming and yelling coming from upstairs, switched on his 'selective deafness'. William however, failed miserably in his quest and blew himself up.

*cough* Hate that sister of mine ... putting me off my 'vibe' (plots to create a potion that'll put an end to this misery)

After a quick wash and brush up, he sauntered outside to play around with his fairy magic.

Ohhh pretty!
Feeling hungry, William went back inside to grab some bread and jam. By now, Shannon had placated Hannah until her annoyance level dropped down a few decibels.

Whatcha doing dad?
Watching TV
Much quieter now, isn't it?
 Yup.

That was about the extent of their conversation as William  declared he was tired and went to bed.
Downstairs, Blaine had an outstanding opportunity he had to complete. Fixing John Burb's broken stereo, since it was the hot topic of the moment from anybody who happened to find themselves in the basement.
Firstly, he zapped himself. He blamed a loose wire, although oddly enough, it wasn't even plugged in at the time. (sorry, no pics, happened so fast)

He managed to fix it the second time around and set about trying to catch John - at 5:30am. I just hope John's in a good mood, that early in the morning!!

En route, he spotted a deer bounding along, but paid it no heed. You've seen one, you've seen them all!!

He found John, not at home as I'd anticipated, but outside the theatre, along with a captive crowd, watching .... an invisible juggler.

Um, riiiight. Seriously, all you could see were the juggling batons twirling around!!

Oh and wow, has he grown OLD (he's the one in the middle).

I suspect he's also going deaf and losing his marbles, since it took a while for Blaine to get his attention.

Plus (once again, sorry no pics here) a few Dragon Valley residents were not happy about Blaine being there. They were showing negative thought bubbles. Either it's because he interrupted a good show.... or they just didn't like a mechanical man encroaching on their territory. I'll let you decide which one.

It's the following day, and William was so tired that he overslept and missed the school bus - all this on his first day of school too!! Hope this doesn't turn out to be a habit. At the same time, Hannah was throwing one of her usual screaming fits. So Shannon was stressed out, tired out and not in a very good mood.

She caught him at the top of the stairs, trying to sneak out.

And where do you think you are going young man?
Hannah's crying.
Don't change the subject. I asked you a question.
Um, school.
Really?
Um yes?
Care to explain why you missed the bus?
I slept in mum.
That's no excuse. On your first day there too! I hope this isn't going to be a problem for you. Now get out of my sight before I think of a worse punishment. I want you to think long and hard as to what the consequences of your actions will be if you continue. You realise that?
Yes mum.

She really tore shreds off the poor kid, so he went to school for the remainder of the day, wisely keeping out of her way.

Blaine, in the meantime, managed to deliver the fixed stereo AND get to work on time.

Shannon rolled a wish to visit the Spa. However, an emergency popped up that told Blaine there was a problem there. The air conditioning system had gone awry and it was freezing everyone. Then it switched over to quickly defrost, causing flooding!

Good job Shannon didn't go there, isn't it?

Hannah can turn her temper on and off like a lightbulb. Just look at her now, happily playing in her toy box.
I'd originally split up the tasks of training between Austin and Shannon. Shannon would teach Hannah to walk, Austin would teach her to talk and they'd share potty training between them.

However, with Austin still working odd hours, he couldn't complete the talking part, so Shannon took over.

Can you say celebrity?
A little bit tricky for her don't you think?
Shut up, I'm the one teaching her o-kay?
Um, okay.... oohh tetchy.

Hannah studied her mother carefully, before picking her nose and giggling.
Finally Hannah grasped the whole concept of talking, and just in time. For at that moment, Shannon went into labour.

Look mummy, I can hover.
Not now darling, I'm having pains.

But mummy.
Not NOW. AUSTIN????
WHAT???? Can't you see I'm hungry?

Baby is on its way.
Yeah? What do you want me to do, you've done it before, just breathe and push. Getting something to eat.
Yep, we've got a crabby old man here LOL.

Poor Shannon had to endure severe labour pains because every time I tried to send her to the hospital, it kept cancelling out. So now, she's having the baby right here at home.

William, determined to get back in his mommy's good books, came home from school, had a bite to eat and started on his homework, studiously ignoring the screams coming from the next room.

It worked, because Blaine caught up with him a little later on.

Your mother says you've been let off the hook.
Um, thanks?

William is a little bewildered at the fact that his mother couldn't face him herself, but cast it aside anyways.

After much screaming, puffing and panting, Shannon FINALLY had the baby?

Yes, there's a question mark there.
Why?
Well, just look.

She had, TWINS!!!!
Vanessa and Sophie.

Both have their mother's skintone and by the looks of it, her eyes too. But whilst one is half fairy, the other is fully human.

Vanessa's traits are - Loves the Outdoors and Disciplined
Sophie's traits are - Loves the Outdoors and Easily Impressed

And all this effort, thoroughly exhausted Shannon to the point that she never made it to bed. Instead she collapsed on the floor!!!
